개인전, 임시공간 space imsi, 인천
《푸른 낮의 필사 Mapping, Walking, Drawing》는 집에서부터 인천 ‘임시공간’을 지나 동인천 골목까지 반복해서 걸은 경로를 드로잉으로 기록한
전시이다. 1호선으로 인천역까지 가로지르는 여정은 내가 태어나고 자란 장소와 겹쳐 청소년기의 기억과
현재 일터에서 마주하는 청소년들을 떠올리게 만들었다. 1999년에 동인천 골목에서 중·고등학생 56명이 참혹하게 죽은 ‘인현동 화재 참사’가 있었다. 20년 전
같은 도시에서 성장한 또래들에게 벌어진 참사가 지금의 나와 어떻게 연결되는지 이해하기 위해 그 장소를 배회했다.
1호선 방음벽 주변을 걸으며 관찰한 풍경, 인천역에서 '임시공간＇을
거처 동인천 골목까지의 보행기록 드로잉과 지도, 사진을 제작했다. 걸으며
바라본 풍경을 그릴 뿐 아니라, 발걸음의 궤적, 종이와 전시장
벽에서 이동하는 연필 선의 자취를 연결하고자 했다.
Mapping, Walking, Drawing documents, through drawing, the repeated walk from my home past Space imsi to the alleys of DongIncheon. The journey along Subway Line 1, overlapping with the places where I grew up, raised memories of my adolescence and of the teenager I meet in my job, leading me to reflect on the tragic Inhyeon-dong Fire Disaster of 1999 in which 56 students lost their lives. By wandering the alleys and recording observations along the Subway Line 1 soundproof wall, mapping the route from Incheon Station to DongIncheon, and tracing pencil marks across paper and gallery walls, the exhibition sought to connect the scenery, footsteps, and lines of movement.
